Honda Coupe 1300

THE HONDA COUPE 7 AND 9

In 1965 Honda was on top of its game winning grand prix and it principal Soichiro Honda was busy designing a new full size car, into it he packed every piece of engineering genius he knew and it was released to the world in 1969 as the Honda 77 and 99. Smartly following this came the elegant 7 and 9 series coupe’s. In all only 40,000 cars were produced, only 8000 were exported and mostly they came to Australia, 800 were the Sports Coupe and around 30% of them were the Coupe 9 featuring the Honda standard format of a choke for every cylinder.

The Coupe 7 and 9 both featured many new and outstanding engineering features and boasted 88 hp per liter, more than the fastest and most powerful car on the road the Chevrolet Corvette. The details of the car can be found on the link below.
